Held at Officine Garibaldi near Pisa's historic city center, the EOSC Marine official kick-off meeting is happening on the 12th and 13th of October, marking the official transition from the project that piloted a marine thematic node within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) for quality marine science in support of the European Digital Twin of the Ocean programme and its implementing facilities, to the project that now supports the operationalisation of the EOSC Node Digital Twin Ocean.
This kick-starting event will focus on aligning the technical architecture between EOSC and EDITO, officially presenting the EOSC Node European Digital Twin Ocean, and discussing how it will connect with other EOSC nodes and initiatives, plus setting the direction for training, communication, and the thematic pipelines that will be developed going forward.
Event venue
The meeting will be held at Officine Garibaldi in Pisa, set within a multifunctional venue of around 5,000 square metres in the heart of Pisa, just a few steps from the city's historic walls. Known as "il cantiere delle idee" (the workshop of ideas), Officine Garibaldi was conceived as a place for people to meet, share and connect. Over the years it has become a lively hub for culture, education and innovation, hosting film screenings, concerts, book presentations, training courses, conferences and community initiatives, along with web TV and radio facilities.
Address: Via Gioberti 39, Pisa, Italy (Conference Room Kinzica)
